Synopsis from Author's website: Published to accompany the exhibition by the same name at White Cube Mason's Yard. The works in the show included three groups of photographs and a large-scale film installation, all of which explored the themes of absence and mortality with the strength, pathos and resonance characteristic of Sam Taylor-Johnson (formerly Taylor-Wood)'s work. Photographic series included Ghosts, based on Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights; After Dark, photographs of clowns in dilapidated, post-industrial settings; and Escape Artist, which show the artist impossibly suspended from brightly coloured helium balloons. Sigh, a large-scale multi-screen film installation made in collaboration with the BBC Concert Orchestra, shows members of an orchestra playing a piece of music, but without their instruments. Essays by Craig Burnett and Justine Picardie.
